Reports: Telefónica to Delist Shares in Paris, Frankfurt
Spanish telecoms giant Telefónica plans to delist its shares from the Frankfurt and Paris stock exchanges, international press reported, citing sources close to the company.
According to the reports, the decision was taken due to the low volume of stock traded on these markets.
TEF's stock continues trading on the stock exchanges of London, New York, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Lima and São Paulo.
The company saw third quarter profits rise 39% to 4.02bn euros (US$5.9bn) from 2.9bn euros a year earlier. Latin American sales grew 11% to 5.05bn euros in the period. In Latin America Telefónica has 127mn clients.
