Ukraine based Kyivstar has deployed OSS (operations support systems) solutions supplied by Amdocs. The company worked in partnership with Ukrainian system integrator, S&T Soft-Tronik Ukraine, on the deployment.
Kyivstar has more than doubled in size since 2005. "Kyivstar needed a proven, modular OSS solution to unify our network inventory across our business-one that would not only allow us to support our growing subscriber base, but also enable us to manage services and network resources more effectively and roll out new services faster. Amdocs OSS solutions enable us to analyze the level of existing network usage to optimize network capacity," said Yogesh Malik, chief technology officer at Kyivstar. "Also, working with S&T Soft-Tronik Ukraine as the local partner to implement this challenging project, proved to be a solid choice to ensure a successful deployment. As a result of the implementation, we expect to lower capital and operational expenditures as we differentiate ourselves from the competition by introducing new services to market faster."
Kyivstar has deployed a number of products from Amdocs OSS suite to deliver a single, integrated service and resource management solution that provides visibility into its entire network.
Kyivstar ended September with just over 23 million subscribers according to figures from the Mobile World database - making it the country's largest operator by subscriber base.
