Telular Announces Appointment of New CEO

Telular Corporation, a provider of fixed wireless products and services, has announced the appointment of Joseph A. Beatty, its current chief financial officer, as the new president and chief executive officer of the Company. Mr. Beatty replaces Michael J. Boyle who announced his plans for retirement in November. Joe will begin in his new role on January 1, 2008; he will also continue to serve as CFO until his successor as CFO is selected, announced and in position.

"Joe brings over twenty years of telecommunications experience to Telular and he will focus on growing the business and continuing to drive profitability," said John Berndt, chairman of the board of directors of Telular Corporation. "We have confidence in Joe's leadership and ability to capitalize on our future opportunities in the Telguard and Terminals markets. In addition, we would like to extend a well deserved thank you to Mike and wish him the best in his retirement."

Mr. Beatty was previously president and CEO of Concourse Communications Group, LLC, an operator of wireless voice and Wi-Fi networks in large, public venues such as airports. Before that, he co-founded and was CFO of Focal Communications Corporation, a competitive local exchange carrier. During his time there, Joe raised approximately $800 million in capital to fund the company and successfully led Focal in its initial public offering.

"I am excited about leading Telular and leveraging the Company's strong market position into new areas of growth," said Mr. Beatty. "Telular has a history of innovation and I believe we have a great opportunity to further exploit the capabilities of today's pervasive wireless infrastructure to help people better manage their professional and personal lives, " added Beatty.
