3 Launches Skype Phone in New Countries

Mobile operator 3 says that it will be launching its Skypephone handset in Sweden, Denmark and Austria during this week. This follows the successful introduction of the handset in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong and Italy and means free mobile to mobile international Skype calls are available to 3 customers across eight countries.

The 3 Skypephone is a 3G Internet phone with free internet calling built-in. In addition to Skype calls the phone makes conventional calls and can be used to access 3Ã's broad range of internet services.

Kevin Russell, CEO 3 UK, comments: "The 3 Skypephone has brought the worlds of home and mobile broadband together. Our customers are now able to enjoy the same Skype experience at home as on the move.
