Vivo Board Approves US$1.7bn Notes Issue

The board of Brazil's largest mobile operator Vivo has approved a plan to issue notes worth 3bn reais (US$1.69bn), local press reported.

The board has authorized the company to select the banks that will be in charge of coordinating the operation and to register it with the securities regulator CVM.

According to press reports, the company has not yet revealed the goal of the program and the number of notes to be issued.

Vivo plans to announce conditions and guarantees of the program in the short term.
