Bidding rules for two 20-year mobile licenses went on sale in Panama on Tuesday (Oct 30), local daily La Prensa reported.
The government expects to raise at least US$36mn for each new license awarded.
According to the website of Panama's public services regulator Asep, 13 parties have expressed interest in the auction including Cable & Wireless Panama and Movistar Panama, of Spain's Telefonica.
