Vodafone Netherlands has deployed a Switch from Sycamore Networks which is designed to optimize and scale its mobile broadband service infrastructure. The SN 9000 multiservice platform will allow Vodafone to cost-effectively deliver advanced mobile services while increasing service availability for its customers. The company says that its SN 9000 solution leverages it's high-availability optical mesh technology to increase operational efficiencies and accelerate service provisioning, while providing a scalable foundation for next-generation, high-value mobile communications.
