T-Mobile's Flext Hits Two Million Customers

T-Mobile UK recently announced that over 2 million customers have signed up to its revolutionary Flext tariff over the last 18 months.

Flext was an industry first back in February 2006. Unlike other tariffs, Flext offers customers an allowance measured in monetary value - not in minutes and texts - so mobile phone users choose how they spend their monthly allowance. And this value can be used however they like - on voice calls, text messages and picture messages.

What's more, Flext puts an end to nasty phone bill shocks: over 70% of Flext customers do not exceed their monthly allowance and all Flext users receive a free weekly text alert to update them on their remaining balance for the month.

Eighteen months on and two million people are now using this tariff and the company says that nine out of ten of them would unhesitatingly recommend the plan to friends and family.

Anne van Schrader, Senior Flext Brand Manager T-Mobile UK, said: "Two million customers in just 18 months is a superb result, demonstrating that UK mobile phone users recognise a good value service when they see it. Customers demand flexibility and transparency from their mobile contract and Flext is able to meet that need, allowing customers to use their phone in the way they want."
