Deutsche Telekom Seen Buying Orange Netherlands - Source

PARIS -(Dow Jones)- French telecoms company France Telecom will announce the sale of its Dutch unit Orange Netherlands to Deutsche Telekom on Friday, a person familiar with the plan told Dow Jones Newswires Thursday.

France Telecom is selling the unit for EUR1.3 billion, the person said, adding that the announcement is likely to be made before the market opens Friday.

France Telecom and its German counterpart had been negotiating the deal since June, and France Telecom had said in August it expected to conclude the sale in the autumn.

The proposed sale has already been approved by the European Community authorities.
