Alcatel Lucent and Commnet Supply an Alcatel Lucent Business Partner have announced that Nex Tech Wireless has selected Alcatel Lucent's CDMA2000 1xEV DO Revision A (Rev. A) technology to upgrade its network in central and western Kansas along with eastern Colorado.
EV-DO Rev. A continues the evolution of CDMA2000 technology, bringing increasesin efficiency, data speeds and capacity to Nex-Tech Wireless' CDMA2000 1X and 1xEV-DO networks. EV-DO Rev. A enables users to receive data (forward link) at speeds up to 3.1 Megabits per second (Mbps) and send data (reverse link) at speeds of up to 1.8 Mbps. These increased forward and reverse link data speeds reduce data latency and will enable Nex-Tech Wireless to deliver multimedia services.
"We have had a longstanding relationship delivering Alcatel-Lucent wireless solutions, and we are excited to help Nex-Tech Wireless take the next step to Rev. A as it evolves its network and wireless broadband capabilities for its growing customer base," said Bill Levy, Chief Operating Officer, Commnet Supply.
Commnet Supply, a Lucent Business
Partner, signed the contract with Nex-Tech Wireless to deliver, install and maintain the Alcatel-Lucent solution.
