Telenor Pakistan has opened its new Network Operations Center, which will enable it to quickly pinpoint outages anywhere across their network in Pakistan. The new center will make alarm monitoring and supervision of the network easier, reducing network downtime and duration, and result in more satisfied customers.
Telenor Pakistan CEO Tore Johnsen inaugurated the new center in the capital city, Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, he said, “With the launch of
more centralized, cutting-edge NOC operations we will be able to view
the entire Telenor Pakistan network at a glance in one place. This will
help us to locate and resolve faults quicker, resulting in fewer and
shorter network outages. The purpose is to enable our customers to
fully benefit from accessible and quality communication services in
their daily lives.â€
The center boasts the data handling equipment from
Nokia Siemens Network and has huge LCD data walls from Barco. In addition Other Telenor Pakistan officials present on the
occasion, representatives from Nokia Siemens Network (NSN), Huawei and
NEC also attended the event.
