Qatar Extends Deadline for 2nd Mobile License Tender
ictQATAR, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority for Qatar, has informed pre-qualified candidates for Qatar's second Mobile License that the deadline for the submission of bids has been extended by two weeks, from 2 September to 16 September, 2007.
This extension allows candidates to finalize their bid submissions.
The selection process will include both a technical evaluation and an auction. ictQATAR expects that the announcement date of the winning bid for the license will not be delayed by more than two weeks. The expected date of the announcement as published on 8 July 2007 in the Mobile Application Procedures had been the last week in October, 2007.
