China's 3G TD-SCDMA Spend Nears US$1 Billion in Q2

Analysys International says in its recently research China TD-SCDMA Market Quarterly Tracker Q2 2007, that the total market size of TD-SCDMA access network has reached RMB 7.2 billion (US$945 million) in the second quarter of 2007.

China TD-SCDMA Market Breakdown

With the construction of China Mobile's TD-SCDMA trial network in Beijing, Tianjin, Shenyang, Shenzhen, QInhuangdao, Xiamen, Shanghai and Guangzhou, China Telecom and China Netcom also launched their TD-SCDMA network expansion in the second quarter of 2007. The expansion based on the original TD-SCDMA network in Qingdao and Baoding, ZTE, Datang and TD Tech were involved.

According to the research of Analysys International, ZTE, Datang and TD Tech ranked the top 3 in China TD-SCDMA access network market, with market share of 45.8%, 27.2% and 14.9% respectively.
