Acision has launched its own Visual Voicemail service, emulating the platform which garnered so much attention on Apple's iPhone. Acision's convergence platform already powers three quarters of the world's videomail users, and Visual Voicemail combines Acision's IP Voicemail/ IP Videomail with Action Engine's on-device portal. Visual Voicemail enables operators to offer simplified and enhanced viewing, playback and management of voicemail, as well as ensuring a seamless evolution to other advanced messaging services through Acision's convergence platform.
"Wireless consumers are hungry for a better voicemail experience, one that is easier to manage and more versatile than current navigation systems," Wayne Irwin, president, Acision, the Americas said. "With Acision's Visual Voicemail, operators will be able to offer their customers an experience more closely aligned with their messaging expectations. Our partnership with Action Engine allows us to meet the growing demand for an intuitive graphical voicemail option."
Acision's Visual Voicemail solution features:
"Backed by our On-Device Portal Platform, Acision's new service allows mobile users to manage voicemail the way they manage their email inbox," said Action Engine President and CEO Scott G. Silk. "Acision's Visual Voicemail will enable customers to see at a quick glance who has called - with full access to all the voicemail information and content without having to make a phone call."
Visual Voicemail is powered by Acision's uOne convergence platform and has been developed in partnership with Action Engine. Visual Voicemail will be available on a variety of Java, BREW, and Windows Mobile handsets.
