Vodafone Iceland Orders Network Optimisation Software

The network planning firm, Arieso says that it has provided its ACP software suite, ariesoACP to Vodafone Iceland. ariesoACP will enable Vodafone to access network performance data from a variety of sources and then use this data to tailor the parameters of its network.

Once the data has been collected, ariesoACP automatically generates a network configuration, calculating the potential parameter combinations of the antennas to ascertain the most efficient way of configuring the network to improve areas such as coverage, reduced interference and dropped calls.

ariesoACP claims to achieve up to 20% improvements in such key performance indicators (KPIs) as network coverage, dropped call numbers, and data speeds.

Shirin Dehghan, Arieso CEO, said, "Network optimisation is becoming an increasingly more important issue for operators; consumers are demanding higher quality of service and are not willing to put up with poor coverage. Arieso?s tested and proven optimisation algorithm has consistently outperformed its rivals in competitive trials and it has been proven to be the most cost effective solution around. Vodafone Iceland chose Arieso to help maintain its quality of service. Working with arguably one of the biggest operators is a huge compliment for us, and demonstrates the competency and intelligence of our products."
