Russian Private Equity Buys Major Stake In Nikita Mobile

MOSCOW -(Dow Jones)- Moscow-based private equity firm Marshall Capital Partners has bought a controlling stake in Russian mobile content provider Nikita Mobile, the fund said in a release Monday.

The companies didn't disclose the volume of the deal but experts cited in Russian daily Vedomosti estimate Nikita Mobile is worth between $10 million and $40 million.

Nikita Mobile is the third mobile content provider that Marshall Capital Partners has bought, after Solvo and Jump, which operates in Russia and Ukraine.

Mobile content providers offer services such as music tracks, games and images for cellular phones.
