Optimi Contracted by Vivo Brazil for GSM Rollout

Optimi says that it was recently selected by Vivo Brazil to deploy a combination of planning and optimization services for the operator's newly developed GSM network. During the network planning phase, Vivo utilized Optimi's x-Wizard and x-Dimension solutions to develop design and dimensioning for the new GSM network overlay.

For the optimization phase, Optimi will use x-AFP (Automatic Frequency Planning) and x-ACP (Automatic Cell Planning) solutions to increase spectral efficiency and develop accurate cell designs.

Javier Rodríguez, Vivo's CTO, said, "Partnering with Optimi during the GSM rollout helps us to design and launch a high quality network from day one and enables a fast ramp-up of GSM competence in our key markets.
