Redknee Expands Indonesian Contract
Redknee says that Indonesia's Bakrie Telecom (BTEL) is extending its Redknee prepaid Unified Rating and Charging System (URCS) to include postpaid subscribers. Bakrie Telecom will build upon Redknee's existing converged real-time rating and charging solution for voice, data, messaging and content services.
Muhammad Buldansyah, Deputy President Director, Network and Operations at Bakrie Telecom, said: "We see a tremendous opportunity to use innovative technology to unlock the value of our existing solutions and better manage our operational costs and business performance. The Redknee Unified Rating and Charging System has surpassed expectations over the past 24 months. Convergence between prepaid and postpaid will help improve our operational capabilities and allow us to maintain our commitment to subscribers. The extension of Redknee's converged URCS system, to rate and charge data services for postpaid subscribers in real-time, will provide Bakrie Telecom with more flexibility and performance for our growing data services and customer base.""
