B2Br, Nokia Sign Partnership to Offer Mobile Solutions"

Brazilian IT integrator B2Br, part of Grupo TBA, has signed an initial one-year partnership with the local unit of Finnish mobile phone company Nokia to offer mobility solutions to Brazil's banking, financial services and retail sectors, news service Panorama Brasil reported.

"Nokia has reaffirmed its intension to bring solutions for mobility to an growing number of customers, breaking down barriers that still exist for the adoption of these products," Nokia Brasil's manager for corporate channels Rogério Guazzelli said.

"In this scenario, the partnership with B2Br is an important step for us to reach clients," Guazzelli said.

B2Br, which saw revenues of US$100mn in FY07, plans to boost revenues 30% to US$130mn this fiscal year, ending March 31, 2008, by securing new partners and extending current relationships, Waldemar Magalhães, B2Br's VP for marketing and partners, recently told BNamericas.

B2Br has agreements with large IT firms such as Sun Microsystems, Abacomm, Hitachi Data Systems and OFM through which it expects to generate additional revenues of 20mn reais (US$9.8mn), according to Magalhães.

Last year, 40% of B2Br's revenues came from the government sector, 27% from telecoms and the rest from the financial and industrial sectors."
