GSM/WI-FI Handset Interoperability Tested

NewStep Networks and Paragon Wireless say that they have completed interoperability certification for Paragon's latest GSM/VoWLAN dual-mode handset hipi 2300 with an integrated Voice Call Continuity (VCC) client.

"Handset manufacturers' continuing interest in interoperability with our solution clearly demonstrates not only the value of the NewStep offering but also the forward momentum of the service convergence market," said Craig Gosselin, NewStep Networks' chief marketing officer. "Successful completion of such interoperability testing underscores NewStep's commitment to furthering the adoption of fixed-mobile convergence in a variety of key technologies that will provide our customers with a multi-vendor, multi-technology solution."

The hipi-2300 is Paragon Wireless' newest addition to its Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 dual-mode handset technology."
