Vodafone Romania Launching HSDPA
Vodafone Romania says that it has commercially launched its HSDPA upgrade. The new Vodafone 3G broadband services are available in 23 Romanian cities, covering 30% of the population: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Brasov, Iasi, Constanta, Craiova, Ploiesti, Sibiu, Oradea, Targu Mures, Arad, Pitesti, Galati, Braila, Satu Mare, Baia Mare, Bistrita, Bacau, Buzau, Alba Iulia, Turda and Deva.
"After pioneering 3G broadband - HSDPA services on the Romanian market, Vodafone Romania is also the first company to provide the next performance level which brings the fastest mobile data transfer speed in Romania, of up to 2.8 Mbps, through a complete portfolio of wireless connectivity solutions. We are pleased to offer the 3G broadband services to a larger number of Vodafone customers through our extended network coverage in 23 Romanian cities", said Liliana Solomon, President & Chief Executive Officer, Vodafone Romania.
Vodafone customers can benefit from double data transfer speeds, of up to 2.8 Mbps, with the monthly US$5 extra-option, which adds to the 3G broadband subscription tarrifs.
Between June 1st to July 30th 2007, Vodafone Romania customers benefit from a new promotional offer: double traffic included in all the 3G broadband subscription packages, at the same tarrifs charged so far, available during the entire subscription period if this is longer than one year."
