Nokia Tops Swedish Handsets Sales Chart
Published on:
May was a record month for sales of Nokia's N95 mobile in Telia's retail stores in Sweden. The handset, with built-in GPS, took a huge leap up the Top Ten List, capturing second place. Sony Ericsson's W880i, last month's best-selling mobile phone, was knocked down to fourth place.
During the month, sales of mobile phones that are a little more advanced really took off. Three of the four top phones were 3G mobiles. GPS navigation is a service that is being demanded more and more by Telia's customers, which was reflected by the N95's rapid advance up the list and the fact that seven of the ten handsets on the May Top Ten List function together with Telia's navigation service, Telia Navigator.
