Myanmar Gets Ready to Launch GSM

The Myanmar (Burma) based newspaper The New Light of Myanmar has reported that the state telecoms group will launch a GSM service within the next two months in the cities of Yangon and Mandalay. The country currently has about 3,000 cell phone users, connected to an existing CDMA network."
