Lenovo Signs 3G License Agreement with Qualcomm

Qualcomm says that it has granted a subscriber unit license agreement covering WCDMA subscriber products to China's Lenovo Mobile. Under the terms of the worldwide royalty-bearing agreement, Qualcomm has granted Lenovo Mobile a patent license to develop, manufacture and sell WCDMA subscriber units for high-speed broadband wireless access. The royalties payable by Lenovo Mobile are at Qualcomm's standard worldwide rates.

Additionally, the two companies intend to cooperate in the development of certain subscriber unit products incorporating CDMA technology.
