T-Mobile Offering Free Windows Mobile OS Upgrade
T-Mobile USA has announced that T-Mobile Dash customers can upgrade from Windows Mobile 5.0 to Windows Mobile 6 via a free desktop download available directly from T-Mobile.
Designed by HTC and available exclusively from T-Mobile, the T-Mobile Dash is the first device in the USA to be powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.
Leslie Grandy, vice president, product development, T-Mobile USA commented "As the first company in the U.S. to offer the increased functionality of Microsoft Windows Mobile 6, T-Mobile continues to build on the already great communication experience for T-Mobile Dash customers and our promise to help people 'Stick Together.'"
The T-Mobile Dash provides access to personal and professional e-mail, and all four major instant messaging providers ? AOL, Yahoo!, Windows Live Messenger and ICQ. With the addition of Windows Mobile 6, customers now have the ability to view e-mail messages in their original rich HTML format with live links to Web sites, which means text and images are displayed as they would be on a PC, whether from a Web-based account such as Windows Live Hotmail or from a myriad of other popular service providers."
