Finland's Starnet Systems says that it has signed an agreement with the TeliaSonera-owned Spanish 3G operator Yoigo to outsource its entire billing operations to Starnet over a period of four years.
The Agreement is the largest of its kind in Starnet's history.
Yoigo will outsource its entire billing operations to Starnet using Starnet's TeleManagement Solution with modules for mediation, provisioning, customer relations management and billing as well as point-of-sale, reseller commissioning and extensive self-care applications. The platform is provided in the Software as a Service business model.
Starnet will also supply Yoigo with the required hardware environment as well as hosting services and application management.
Yoigo is the brand name of TeliaSonera's subsidiary Xfera, which was awarded the fourth 3G license in Spain and had its commercial launch in December 2006.
"TeliaSonera is targeting a ten per cent market share for Yoigo by the year 2015. The strategy for reaching this is to offer exceptionally easy-to-use and low-cost mobile services to the Spanish market," says Yoigo CEO, Mr. Johan Andsjö. "We chose Starnet as our partner thanks to the good experience TeliaSonera has from Starnet in the operating and delivery of the IT platform for TeleFinland. Also, Starnet was able to provide us with a highly versatile system cost-effectively and in a record-breaking 150-day delivery time."
