Accenture Wins Global Vodafone Contract

Vodafone and Accenture have signed a multi-year agreement under which Accenture will support Vodafone in the development and implementation of a single, global enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to improve the management of information.

Accenture will help to enhance the efficiency of Vodafone?s finance, supply chain and human resource capabilities across 17 of its operating companies as well as other group functions. The implementation is scheduled to run for around three years.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

As its preferred systems integration supplier on this project, Accenture will help Vodafone to improve efficiencies by enhancing the management of information as well as through the standardization and centralization of critical business processes.

Mark Bryant, Accenture's managing director responsible for the Vodafone business, said, "Accenture's ability to deliver capabilities seamlessly across areas such as finance, human resource services and supply chain management on a global basis will help Vodafone to realize the many benefits of a fully-integrated ERP solution across its operating companies."
