TAIPEI -(Dow Jones)- Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom appointed 62-year old Chang Feng-Hsiung as executive senior vice president as part of a reshuffling in other management positions.
"Chang will take over more responsibility in integrating our various new entities and in organization," Joseph Shieh, chief financial officer of Taiwan's largest phone company by revenue, said Sunday.
The position of executive senior vice president was vacant over three years, Chang Feng-Hsiung said. Chunghwa Telecom approved a total of eight appointments, the company said in a filing to the Taiwan Stock Exchange late Friday.
Chang's previous position as senior vice president for sales and marketing will be filled by Chang Shaio-Tung, president of the Mobile Business Group.
Yue Chin-Yi will be appointed as chairman of Senao International, a 31.5%-owned phone distributor. This appointment is pending the approval of Senao's board of directors, Chunghwa Telecom said in the statement.
Chunghwa Telecom in January set up a new Enterprise Business Group and has spun off its telephone and Internet directory business into Chunghwa Yellow Pages (International) Co.
The company said Hsieh Chi-Mao will be appointed as president of its Central Taiwan Business Group and Southern Taiwan Business Group. The company said he will remain president following the planned merger of the two divisions; the resulting entity will be called Southern Taiwan Business Group.
