Golden Telecom Says Has 6,000 Wi-Fi Users in Moscow"

MOSCOW, Mar 15 (Prime-Tass) -- US-registered telecommunications operator Golden Telecom's Wi-Fi wireless broadband services subscriber base in the Russian capital, Moscow, amounted to 6,000 as of Wednesday, the company said Thursday.

Golden Telecom launched the Wi-Fi network into commercial operations in Moscow in February. The network covers around 800,000 households. The company said earlier it planned to have 300,000-400,000 Wi-Fi users by 2010.

Golden Telecom provides a wide range of telecommunications services in Russia and in the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
