HSDPA Coverage Expands in Romania

After introducing HSDPA services on the Romanian market, in Bucharest, Vodafone has announced the expansion of these services to 6 new cities. Starting last week, 3G broadband services are available to Vodafone customers in Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, Constanta, Craiova, Timisoara and Iasi.

"We are happy to offer 3G broadband services to an increased number of Vodafone Romania customers, by expanding our network coverage to 6 new cities, in addition to Bucharest. This launch is the result of a significant investment as part of our plan to continuously expand the Vodafone HSDPA network, while enriching our 3G broadband product and services portfolio. Vodafone Romania was the first mobile operator which introduced 3G broadband (HSDPA) services in Romania, on October 5, 2006."
