Network Improvements for Ghana Network

Areeba Ghana says that it has initiated a far-reaching project to improve upon the quality of the services to its subscribers. The extensive project, labeled Network Optimization Project, is intended to fine tune the service quality of the network. This was disclosed by the CEO, Brett Goschen, when he met reporters after a working visit to Areeba regional offices in Cape-Coast, Takoradi and Kumasi.

According to The Chief Executive Officer, the technically-involving project is being co-ordinated by a very experienced International Group comprising of experts from Ericsson and the MTN Group.

"As a result of the cumulative effect of the Network Optimization project and the on-going network expansion project, subscribers will soon be able to discern a steady improvement in the network quality." He continued; "we are dedicated to providing superior services to all our subscribers across the country, hence the need to further enhance the service through capacity and quality, once basic coverage has been achieved."

Outlining his personal vision, Brett Goschen, an accomplished Chartered Accountant with over a decade of cross-cultural telecommunications experience, revealed that he is committed to satisfying Areeba's subscribers through providing innovative products, a superior quality network and excellent customer service.

He said that he was also particularly enthusiastic about pursuing social responsibility initiatives to benefit the larger Ghanaian community and providing career growth prospects and opportunities for local employees.

The Mobile World subscriber database reports that Areeba (formerly ScanCom) has some 2.4 million subscribers - representing a market share of 55%."
