Research In Motion To Release Prelim 3Q Fincls On Dec 21

Research in Motion expects to file its second- and third-quarters and any restatements prior to its fiscal year end on March 3.

The Canadian maker of the Blackberry wireless device, which is conducting an ongoing review of its stock option grants, said it will report preliminary operating results for the third quarter on Dec. 21 and doesn't expect any material change from the potential restatement.

In after-hours trading, shares of Research in Motion changed hands recently at $128.20, up from Friday's close of $127.69.
