Russia's VimpelCom Launches Wi-Fi in 7 Ukrainian Cities

MOSCOW, Dec 7 (Prime-Tass) -- Russia's second largest mobile operator VimpelCom has launched Wi-Fi services for its users in seven Ukrainian cities, VimpelCom's subsidiary Ukrainian Radiosystems (URS) said in a press release Thursday.

URS has begun operating a total of 26 Wi-Fi hot spots in Kiev, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Lviv, Simferopol and Ivano-Frankivsk, the company said.

VimpelCom's subscriber base amounted to over 1 million users as of late October.
