Israel Imposes Maximum Call Charges
In a measure to increase competition in the cellular phone market, the Israeli telecoms regulator has imposed a maximum charge on calls to mobile phones of US$0.10 per minute. This is upto 25% lower than the highest rate, offered by Pelephone, a CDMA network. Orange, the GSM network in the country has a price identical to the new maximum limit. The tariff ceiling will reduce over the next three years to US0.10 per minute."
