DY Mobile Signs License Agreement With Universal Music
DY Mobile says that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Universal Music Canada, wherein DY Mobile will promote and sell real music ringtones, also known as MP3 TrueTones to mobile subscribers on Canada's 4 largest wireless networks.
DY promotes this content within its Mobile on Demand pages found in The Vancouver Province, Toronto Sun, Edmonton Sun, Calgary Sun and Toronto 24 Hours newspapers reaching more than 1 Million Canadians.
Universal Music's artists promoted by DY include Eminem, 50 Cent, Shania Twain, Nelly Furtado and many more platinum selling artists.
Dan Reitzik, President of DY Mobile comments, "DY has had a long standing relationship with Universal Music and we are tremendously pleased to be promoting and selling their artists' licensed content using our direct to consumer mobile content storefronts. Universal Music has the largest market share of all major record labels and has been a supporter of DY's model for more than 3 years. North America is just beginning to realize the potential of the mobile content market, already booming in Europe and Asia. DY recognizes that consumers demand a wide array of content."
