Hutchison Telecom Australia Names Nigel Dews New CEO

MELBOURNE -(Dow Jones)- Hutchison Telecommunications (Australia) said Monday Nigel Dews will replace chief executive Kevin Russell in January.

Dews, who is currently the Sydney-based company's sales, marketing and product director, will replace Russell, who after five years plans to return to the UK to be deputy chief executive of 3G UK.

Before joining Hutchison Dews was head of John Fairfax Holdings Ltd.'s digital unit and worked as a consultant at McKinsey and Co. and for the Reserve bank of Australia, the company said in a statement.
