Speeding Up Web Surfing over 3G

Flash Networks has announced that T-Mobile Slovakia has chosen its NettGain solution for its data optimization service. T-Mobile Slovakia is using NettGain to dynamically optimize the data transfer to end users, including HSDPA. The NettGain solution assesses the type of network used at the time of the data transfer and dynamically adjusts the optimization accordingly, creating a consistent and responsive browsing experience that compares with that obtained when using a landline DSL.

NettGain works over a wide range of bearers, including GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, as well as today's fastest network, HSDPA and slashes download times by up to 7 times compared to mobile Web surfing without an optimization solution.

In addition to accelerating the rate at which users download Web pages and e-mail, the NettGain platform is aware of the status of user sessions, and if transmission is lost, the download (of a file or an email) resumes exactly where it had left off. This unique feature saves subscribers considerable time and frustration, and helps reduce subscriber churn.

More than 40 operators around the world have chosen Flash Networks' NettGain platform as their QoE enhancement and optimization solution. Flash Networks' customer includes the T-Mobile group, Vodafone Italy, SFR, Alltel, Chunghwa Telecom and many more."
