BERLIN -(Dow Jones)- Deutsche Telekom, Wednesday said it has yet to receive a ruling from the Vienna Court of Appeals related to an ongoing dispute with Vivendi over the ownership of Polish operator Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa.
"We haven't received a decision of the Vienna Court of Appeals," said company spokesman Andreas Leigers, in reaction to an announcement earlier Wednesday from Vivendi.
Vivendi said earlier Wednesday that the Vienna Court of Appeals had effectively confirmed its joint venture's 48% ownership over Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa, or PTC.
Deutsche Telecom also lays claim to this stake as it had exercised its option to buy the stake from Polish conglomerate Elektrim, raising its stake in PTC to 98%.
However, Vivendi, Deutsche Telecom and Elektrim have been in a dispute over ownership of PTC for several years and have brought multiple suits against each other in Austria and Poland.
Deutsche Telekom has said that in 2004 an Austrian arbitration court found that Elektrim Telekomunikacja -a joint venture dubbed "Telco" between Vivendi and Elektrim - owned the disputed 48% stake in PTC.
But earlier Wednesday Vivendi said the Vienna Court of Appeals said that the arbitration courts found it had no jurisdiction over the case.
