Lucent Wins Brazilian CDMA Contract

Lucent Technologies says that it signed an 18-month services agreement with Brazil's Vivo. Lucent will provide repair and remote technical support services, helping Vivo to maintain the quality of its CDMA2000 1X and 1xEV-DO network. This project also has a one-year renewal option.

In addition to this services agreement, Vivo also will begin to deploy new base station software and enhancements to increase the coverage of Vivo
