CDMA to GSM Messaging Platform for Tajikistan

EastWind, a part of Sitronics, and M.Teko, a CDMA network operator from Tajikistan, have signed a contract for delivery and implementation of EastWind SMS Gateway. The two companies have worked together for about a year. During this time EastWind implemented and launched for M.Teko EastWind Billing System, EastWind Express Paid, EastWind SMS Center and missed calls notification system - EastWind Call Register.

EastWind SMS Gateway enables messaging between subscribers of CDMA and GSM networks. The solution allows M.Teko to attract and retain subscribers. The system is especially relevant in terms of multi-standard market of Tajikistan. For each four CDMA operators there are five operators with GSM network.

The Mobile World subscriber database estimates that Tajikistan has around 600,000 mobile phone users, equating to a market penetration rate of just over 8%."
