Claro Unit to Sell Alcatel Handsets

Chilean mobile operator Claro, the local unit of Mexico's América Móvil, has signed an agreement with French equipment supplier Alcatel to sell its handsets in Chile, Chilean tech magazine Gerencia reported.

Alcatel already sells its products in Chile through rival operators Entel PCS and Movistar, owned by Spain's Telefónica. However, Claro clients will have access to six exclusive models.
