Georgian Regulator to Auction Wireless Broadband License
TBILISI, Sep 27 (Prime-Tass) -- Georgia's National Communications Commission plans to hold an auction December 1 for a WiMax wireless broadband Internet license, the commission said Wednesday.
Applications will be accepted until November 9, the commission said.
The starting price of the license is 1.66 million lari, the commission said.
The license will cover radio frequencies from 3,410 to 3,431 megahertz (MHz) and from 3,510 to 3,531 MHz, the commission said.
Georgian mobile operator MagtiCom and Georgian fixed-line telecommunications operator Akhali Kselebi are expected to take part in the auction, the commission said.
