Xfera Renews 2G Roaming Deal In Spain

STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- Swedish telecommunications operator TeliaSonera, Tuesday said its newly established mobile operator in Spain, Xfera, has renewed a roaming agreement with Vodafone which gives it access to the UK mobile operator's second-generation network in Spain.

The company said the agreement is a key element to Xfera's launch of its commercial offerings before the end of the year.

Xfera will offer nationwide coverage based on the combination of Xfera's own third generation network, which is currently being rolled-out, and the roaming agreement with Vodafone.
