Improved Coverage At New Zealand Stadium

Telecom New Zealand says that it has invested almost $500,000 in a new site to enhance mobile coverage at Albany Stadium. The new site will also provide coverage for the Albany Centre which is expected to be the largest retail centre in New Zealand as well as the Albany Mega Centre and Massey University. In addition, new coverage will be provided for residential developments along Gills and Oteha Valley roads.

As well as providing more coverage for voice calls, the site will provide Mobile Broadband which allows customers to connect to their email and the Internet from a laptop or Personal Digital Assistant at fixed line broadband connection speeds. The enhanced coverage will also support Telecom's range of T3G mobile services including Telecom's Music Shop, Video Clips, Mobile Games and Video Messaging."
