Nokia is Catching Up on Sony Ericsson

The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, has released their "Top 10" list for August 2006. The list is based upon the number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases that have been ordered from Krusell during August 2006. Krusell's list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.

The Sony Ericsson K790i/K800i continues to be number one also in August, with Sony Ericsson W810i and Sony Ericsson K750i/D750i/W800i as runner ups. However Nokia has taken five positions on the list this month, so Sony Ericsson will have to watch out. There is a strong demand for the new Nokia phone N73, and there are more new devices to come. "The more expensive the unit is the more eager the consumers are to have the right protection for it says" Ulf Sandberg MD at Krusell International.

"Krusell sells more than 100 000 cases per month, and we expect the volumes to rise above that level this autumn when many new units are going to be released" ends Ulf Sandberg."
