Huawei Wins Pakistani CDMA Contract

Huawei says that it has been selected by Pakistan's Worldcall Group to deploy a CDMA WLL network in Karachi the biggest city in Pakistan and Hyderabad in southern Pakistan. In the turnkey project Huawei will provide Worldcall Telecommunications with civil engineering infrastructure deployment management and optimization.
The new CDMA WLL Network will be built on Huawei's CDMA softswitch solution and its 450/479MHz BTS.
Mr. Salmaan Taseer, Chairman of Worldcall Group said, "Huawei is a dynamic company full of the customer-driven spirit. I believe Huawei's CDMA solution will enable Worldcall to deploy networks quickly, and will enhance our service quality and ability. We look forward to further cooperation between Worldcall and Huawei."
Huawei says that by March 2006, its market share in the global CDMA450 and CDMA WLL market had reached 65% and 68% respectively.
