Expanding Passive Screen Content in Thailand

Thailand's AIS is expanding it's mobile content service, mLIVE! from the current 1 million users to 8 million subscribers by the end of this year. mLIVE! is based on Celltick's interactive broadcast technology uniquely able to communicate with millions of users in real time. The new agreement with Celltick Technologies includes expansion of the existing LiveScreen Media platform and Content Management Services.

mLIVE! users enjoy streams of free content directly on their idle screens. Just like a screen saver, the messages appear silently only when the phone is not in use, letting users access a variety of content and data services with a two-click reaction.

During its first year of operation mLIVE! delivered exceptional results: over 40% used mLIVE! on a monthly basis, resulting in over 300,000 downloads a day. Acceding to subscriber demands, mLIVE! - the Active Content Discovery service - will become available for most subscribers.

Stephen Dunford, Celltick's CEO, is excited about AIS' expansion and is positive that operators will continue to expand their LiveScreen Media implementations. "We see the AIS expansion as yet another vote of confidence in our technology. As AIS have seen, LiveScreen Media adds value to subscribers and provides operators a unique marketing platform proven to generate substantial revenue stream. Celltick has gained an abundance of content management experience throughout the world. AIS should benefit greatly from Celltick's Content Management Services, enabling them to explore new content delivery options."

Statistics from The Mobile World database report that AIS is Thailand's largest network operator, with just over 50% of the market. The operator ended the first half of this year with 17.3 million subscribers."
