MOSCOW, Aug 15 (Prime-Tass) -- The fixed-line-to-mobile telephone traffic of Russian fixed-line operator Moscow City Telephone Network, or MGTS, decreased in July and started growing again in August, Yekaterina Khaustova, spokeswoman for MGTS, said Tuesday.
In July the traffic from fixed-line phones fell 30% on the year, but in August it started growing as compared with July, Khaustova said without elaborating.
On July 1 the Calling Party Pays (CPP) principle was introduced in Russia with callers paying per minute for their calls from their fixed-line phones to mobile.
MGTS is the traditional fixed-line operator for the Russian capital, Moscow. It has about 4.2 million subscribers.
