Sprint Outsources Ringtone Management

Oasys Mobile and Moderati say they have been selected by Sprint Netxel to manage the content aggregation of Sprint's ringers and wallpapers. Sprint chose Oasys Mobile and Moderati as its "Agent Partners" based on the companies' successful track records launching consumer products and strong expertise with mobile content and services.

Oasys Mobile and Moderati will serve as gatekeepers for developers wishing to provide ringers and wallpapers on Sprint phones. Sprint will continue to work directly with major media and strategic content partners, but will work through Oasys and Moderati in dealings with indirect content partners. The two companies will be an integral part of the entire content deployment lifecycle, from reviewing proposed content, making recommendations to Sprint, licensing the content from the rights holder, formatting and testing the content, presenting it to Sprint for final approval and pushing it live to customers."
