Franklin Wireless has launched a USB modem based on CDMA2000 1x EV-DO technology. This device is certified to operate on the Sprint Power Vision Network. Concurrent to the completion of certification by Sprint, Franklin also signed a Business Solution Partner Agreement with Sprint. Under the agreement, Sprint or Sprint authorized sales agents may solicit sales of Franklin's CDU-550 USB modem to its potential customers.
Franklin's CDU-550 is the industry's very first 1x EV-DO USB device, and will be available immediately through Franklin Wireless as well as to business customers through Sprint sales channels later this month.
"Franklin's CDU-550 is a major breakthrough in the industry. We are pleased to have been certified to operate on the Sprint Power Vision Network and to be the first mobile broadband USB device introduced in the US market," said Mr. OC Kim, President of Franklin Wireless."
